Wagging Tails Pet Resort
If you are searching for dog day care, boarding, training, or grooming, I highly recommend the newly opened Wagging Tails Pet Resort in Hadley. https://www.waggingtailspetresort.net

This is my personal review as seen on Yelp and Google:
"Our 9 month old English Cocker Spaniels first visit for some doggy day care, followed by a full grooming went great! Gracie is shy and hasn’t been around many other dogs. She made some new dog friends and had a blast playing with them in the outdoor play area. Then she was completely pampered by the groomer. Her groomer was very gentle, knowledgeable, and did an absolutely wonderful cut. Thank you Chris for the great experience at Wagging Tails. Gracie will definitely be back for more fun and pampering.”

Sarah Clay And The Magic Band 1794 Meetinghouse July
Florence, MA: On Saturday July 14, the 1794 Meetinghouse presents Sarah Clay & The Magic Band. As part of an annual summer concert series at this historic venue, vocalist and flutist Sarah Clay breathes new life into American songs of the early 20th century: Swing, Blues, Bossa Nova and Latin Jazz.

Clay leads The Magic Band, comprised of Bob Ferrier (guitar), Steve Bulmer (bass) and Ed Brainerd (flugelhorn). “These guys are the best – fabulous jazz musicians!” says Clay. “With just a glance, a gesture, we share ideas wordlessly, sparks fly, and the music is transformed. Simply magical. That’s why I call them The Magic Band. So much fun – we have a blast, and so will you!”

For more information about the 1794 Meetinghouse, visit www.1794Meetinghouse.com. For more information about Sarah Clay, visit www.clayjazz.com. If you would like to interview Sarah Clay or review the show, please contact her at 413-586-9564 (studio), 413-687-3228 (cell) or email sarah@clayjazz.com.

Electrician
I use Winston Bancroft, his numbers are 413-584-0798 and/or 413-250-6287. He's been our family electrician for over 30 years. He's really dependable and does quality work. I'm not sure how his prices compare because I always call him. I trust him and that goes a long way when we're talking about electrical issues.

Cosby And Comeuppance
JUSTICE.
As a teenager, I had an encounter with Bill Cosby in downtown Manhattan, 1965. Like so many, I was a huge fan. It was when he was still new at TV stardom and possibly not as practiced in the dark "art" of sexual predation as he would become. I was very naive and had more luck than brains - I was not harmed, only creeped out by his predatory behavior toward me.
All these years, I've had no doubt that under that mask of the fun Dad, there lurked a serial rapist. I deeply feel for all the women he did violate over the years, but I am gratified that they finally get - if not their own personal justice, at least some of the validation they've so long been denied. #MeToo!

Come see a great show at the Waterfront Tavern!

Recently PVPA's music department has been planning a tour to VA, and it was swiped out from under our feet due to unfortunate circumstances. But the community has made a massive uproar and began to fund-raise so that the tour can still happen. A large effort has been put in by students to make these benefit shows happen, so come see what music the PVPA ensembles & students are made of. There will also be guest musicians!

A raffle or auction will be in play as well!
Everything to raise money for this trip, donations would be greatly appreciated.

Please come and support PVPA's music dept and the Waterfront Tavern, Wednesday the 28th of March.

Helping Hand
I am posting on behalf of my daughter, Vyanna and friends at Pioneer Valley Performing Arts school with a unique & time-sensitive
request. We are looking for fundraising heroes to help ‘Save The Music’. Specifically: PVPA’s
ambitious music ‘We Came To Play’ music department tour to Virginia happening April 6—
12, 2018.

PVPA’s four music ensembles (Jazz, Rock, Pop and Acapella ensembles) comprised of 65 student
have come together to create one incredibles communal show. Our bags are packed, the hotels
and buses are booked, and we are ready to go. We are already booked to perform three full length
shows in VA, including one at the famous Busch Gardens. We will also be conducting a half-day
workshop at the Waller Mill Magnet Elementary School, where we will teach students about making
music as a group, and then perform for them.

April Tour In Jeopardy Of Being Cancelled!

The beloved head of our music department, Frank Newton, has had a vision of taking our tour
on the road for many years, and took on the huge task of organizing for the past year to make
this vision a reality.

Unfortunately, we were just informed that our major funding source is no longer available.
The entire tour is in jeopardy of being cancelled just two weeks before we’re supposed to
hit the road! Our students have been rehearsing and working non-stop the entire school year to
create this wonderful show. We will NOT give up now. We are determined to save it. That’s
where you come in.

How You Can Be A Music Hero

We are tasked with raising $26,000 in just a matter of days (the bus deposit is due on
Monday, TODAY, March 26, 2018). The good news? We think this is actually possible. The response to
our plight has been swift, and the outpouring of support heartening. We are asking friends,
family, alumni, businesses, benefactors and supporters of students and music lovers
everywhere to donate what they can to the nonprofit ‘Friends Of PVPA’ so our students’
dreams of going on this tour can stay alive.

BECOME A HERO - SAVE PVPA’S APRIL MUSIC TOUR

Your contribution will make an immeasurable difference not only to our PVPA community, but to
our students and the people we will be playing for. All donations are tax deductible, and can be
made through the ‘Friends of PVPA’ via PayPal or credit card.

Want to make a tax-deductible donation? Here’s how:

We greatly appreciate any and all donations to this most worthy cause. You can easily donate
through PayPal or credit card by going to the school’s website.
GO TO: WWW.PVPA.ORG
Click ‘DONATE NOW’ button in upper left hand corner
IMPORTANT! Under ‘Special Instructions ’, please write
‘For VA Music Tour’ to make sure your funds will go directly to our music tour fundraising effort.

You can also send a check MADE OUT TO FRIENDS OF PVPA to:
Friends of PVPA
c/o PVPA
15 Mulligan Drive
South Hadley, MA 01075
Note: Please write ‘For VA Music Tour’ in the memo section.

Watch the 2018 ‘We Came To Play’

VA Tour Info Video

Hear directly from our Music Director, Frank Newton who recorded this informational video back in July 2017 as he explains his tour vision. You’ll also see performances from our music department students:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6TZCPSDvE

Thank you SO much for your support. We are grateful for anything you can provide. Your help
will go directly to making our year-long dream of this important musical tour a reality.

Steph

The Students and Parents of PVPA ‘We Came To Play’ Music Tour

PS – If for some reason we do not hit our full $26,000 fundraising goal, please know that funds
that come in for this tour will be used towards a scaled-down-but-equally-exciting performance
opportunity for these PVPA high school music ensemble students

Wgby Wine Lovers Dinner Sat March 10th
Sit down for a gourmet Irish meal with carefully paired wines Saturday, March 10 from 6–10 p.m. at The Log Cabin in Holyoke — all while supporting public television.

The annual WGBY Wine Lovers Dinner features a seven-course menu carefully designed by a guest chef. This year, the WGBY guest chef is Kevin Dundon, host of the popular PBS cooking show, Modern Irish Food. Dundon will be present at the dinner to help explain his methodologies and ideas. Meanwhile, Dunon's menu will be carefully executed by the culinary team directed by The Log Cabin Executive Chef and Co-Owner Mick Corduff.

Amid seven courses of mouth-watering food will be carefully and expertly paired wines courtesy of Table & Vine. Learn about each pairing, and discover the ways wine and food marry on the palate.

This is a foodie experience of a lifetime. Not only will you sample unique flavors from a celebrity TV chef, but you will also get a tutorial about wine paired with each course. It’s not only a fine dining experience, but a wine tasting, and wine appreciate class all wrapped into one.

Supporting public television has never tasted this good — or this Irish!

Tickets to the seven-course gourmet dinner Saturday, March 10 in Holyoke are $175 each, available online at WGBY.org/dinner or at Table & Vine in West Springfield.

Proceeds benefit public television and PBS station WGBY. The event is sponsored by Big Y World Class Markets, Table & Vine, The Dennis Group, and AM Lithography. Media sponsors include The Republican, BusinessWest, and Healthcare News.

Wgby Wine, Beer Food Tasting Fri March 9th
It’s the largest benefit wine, beer and food tasting in western New England — all in support of local public television!

Taste more than 300 wines and beers, along with specialty foods from local restaurants and food artisans on Friday, March 9 from 5–8 p.m. at the Tower Square Hotel in downtown Springfield.

For over 30 years, supporters of public television and PBS member station WGBY have put their palates to work to help raise funds for the programs they trust and love. But the good feeling you get from participating in this charity event isn't the only benefit.

With a general admission or “Wine Connoisseur” upgrade, you will be able to sample a wide variety (over 300, in fact) of wines, beers, and food specialties.

Each guest will be given a “Tasting Program” that will list each item available for sample (and all wines and beers will be available for purchase through event sponsor Table & Vine). We encourage wine tasters to make note of grape varietals, vineyard designations, appellations, and styles.

Tickets to this enormous wine tasting event are available for $49 each online at WGBY.org/tasting or at Table & Vine in West Springfield.

Proceeds benefit public television and PBS station WGBY. The event is sponsored by Big Y World Class Markets, Table & Vine, The Dennis Group, and AM Lithography. Media sponsors include The Republican, BusinessWest, and Healthcare News.
